The master of disguise business is key. Add soy protein powder to smoothies, and for that matter anything you can think of. Hide a handful of cauliflower in mashed potatoes.

Another thing that might help is involving the kids in food prep. They might eat something they're proud of.

My daughter can sometimes be picky, and will even say she's not going to eat the dinner I'm making - before she's even had a taste. I usually hold my ground and tell her she needs to at least try it, if she doesn't like it she doesn't have to eat it, but usually when that happens, she decides she really does like it! LOL! There are certain foods she just does not like, so I'll make sure if it's something my hubby and I like, I'll fix a quick something separate I know she will like...that way my hubby and I can enjoy the 'spicy' things she doesn't particularly care for. I only do that once in a blue moon so she doesn't think she can have whatever she wants whenever she wants and doesn't have to 'try' new things! ;)

I love the idea of fruit smoothies - I know she'd love that since she does love fruits of all kinds... Thanks for the great tips and ideas! :)

Great tips! Another one is to allow your children to help cook the meal. I've found my kids are always much more excited about eating something they have helped prepare. They started helping out from the time they were about 3 - 4 years old (there always seemed to be something they could help with; tearing lettuce for a salad or buttering bread).
